If you have a VR device, you can use it to explore various worlds (some of which were created by the game’s designers, others by other users…you can also try to create your own worlds and host events for people to attend).

Even though I don’t have any VR equipment, this game is still a very fun and immersive experience. However, I can only imagine how much better this game would be if I had something like an Oculus Rift, allowing me to truly immerse myself in these worlds and experience the wild, hedonistic orgies firsthand. Maybe you’re thinking about signing up and downloading the game. Well, allow me to walk you through it so you have a better understanding of how it works before you decide if it’s right for you.

Be whoever you want to be (almost)

Once you download the game client and open it up, you’ll be prompted to log in. Once you’re logged in, start customizing your character right away. Choose your gender, face shape and features, eye color, hair color, choose glasses/sunglasses and hat or hairstyle, body type and shape (highlight whatever features you want…you can make your character as close to reality as possible, or be the person you always wish you were), choose an outfit (or none…), and you’re good to go. However, one feature that seems conspicuously missing from the character customization options is the ability to change penis size or type. While I didn’t try to make a female character, I imagine there’s no control over vagina type either. I think this kind of genital customization is essential to the nature of VR sex games.

I mean, it wouldn’t be realistic for everyone at a rave to have the exact same porn star penis, would it? Some of us are obviously not circumcised, and some of us are bigger than others. You’d think the game would try to mimic that reality.

Another complaint I have about the game’s create-a-character mode is that the options are somewhat limited when it comes to hairstyles, facial hair, face shape, clothing, etc. And no matter what you choose, your avatar will end up looking like a jerk (like a jerk in an Ed Hardy vest and patterned pants). So my first suggestion for 3DXChat is to add some variety to the customization options to cover more (not fewer assholes) walks of life.

Either way, once you're happy with your character, you can explore any number of worlds (depending on who's online and hosting events while you're playing). When I'm online, I can choose from about 30 events, plus five or six general game worlds for people to check out (bars, nightclubs, yachts and beach resorts, etc.). Some events are tailored to specific interests or demographics. Others are open to anyone who wants to have a group sex.

Your choice of worlds

Whichever world you choose to enter, you're free to roam around and do whatever your heart (or dick) wants. Want to dance? Choose from fifteen different dance styles. Want to chat with another user? Just click on her and start chatting. Many users also have real photos of themselves in their profiles, making it easier for you to blur the line between reality and fantasy. Sit anywhere, go anywhere, do (almost) anything. If you want, try your luck at kissing someone on the cheek. But beware: a lot of the ladies here say in their profiles that they don't want to do that. Just like in real life, you may have to put in some effort to get somewhere, and people seem to take their alternate reality very seriously. That's okay, though, there are three options for chatting: global, local (the world you're in), and private chat mode.

Detailed, vivid 3D sex

Once you connect with someone, you have to ask them to partner with you (which allows you to propose to them at any time in the numerous worlds you may meet in). Is it glitchy, or is it just me?

There are a few things I don't like about 3DXChat. First of all, the gameplay is a little glitchy every once in a while. Of course, this could totally be my computer (I don't have a fancy gaming PC with a high-end graphics card, just a regular Windows laptop), but it's definitely something to consider before deciding whether to spend the time (and possibly money) playing this game. Another factor that I didn't like so much was that they found a way to insert ads even in the immersive 3D VR world. Basically, it works by having a radio playing in the background all the time while you're playing, similar to the radio in Grand Theft Audio, but you can't change the channel (I don't think).

However, if you have an event in your world, then you can control the music. Every once in a while, though, a commercial for an insurance company will play every few songs. As you know, I can't stand ads. But all things considered, these aren't the worst ads as far as they go. Plus, you can turn off the radio, which is pretty cool.

All in all, I found myself liking 3DxChat more than I thought I would. I highly recommend at least giving it a try. And hey, if you have the money, it might be worth putting on Oculus goggles to try out the VR Fleshlight gaming experience. Just make sure you don't get caught using all this equipment... that would be a weird scene.
